My passion for sculpture has been revitalized in the art of bronze-work. Crafting sculpture from bronze has been very challenging, and very rewarding for me.

I am frequently asked when and why I started sculpting, considering I am a retired professional. Well, the correct answer is: I have been sculpting all my life. My first attempts were with mud and clay when I was very young, making small figures performing many activities. As I grew in age and developed my career, I always kept sculpting as hobby on the side. There were always many more "serious" activities, more "important", more demanding of my time during my life. I had to study, get a profession, work, and make my living.

It was not until I retired that I could devote all my time (finally!) to sculpting, and by then I was already 80 years old. Well, I thought it's better late than never, right? Nor, I knew the can of worms I had opened, since I chose the most difficult form of sculpture of all: bronze castings. The last five and half years have been the most demanding, since I started from zero, nobody to ask questions, and "re-inventing the wheel" so to speak all over, many times.

I have to say, these have been the most creative, happy, and satisfying years of my life. I am finally a sculptor, very inexperienced, and with a world to learn in front of me, in the short time I still have left.
